Man City want Zaccardo

Italian 25-year-old defender Cristian Zaccardo is wanted by Man City. The Palermo right back - who was part of Italy's World Cup winning squad - is also admired by Juventus.

However, it is believed that Sven-Goran Eriksson is keen to bring Zaccardo in to Manchester in January. According to the German media, the Swede will pay up to £5m for the player, who only just renewed his contract until 2012.
