Cunha on his way to Man U

Manchester United are set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Matheus Cunha this summer, according to Goal Brazil.

The Brazil international has had a fantastic campaign with Wolves, registering 17 goals and providing six assists from 34 appearances.

He is expected to leave the Midlands outfit in the summer and reports claim that the Red Devils are on the verge of landing his services.

Personal terms are close to being agreed with the 25-year-old, and United are also making quick progress in negotiating a transfer fee too.

Instead of triggering his £62.5 million release clause, the Red Devils are prepared to pay £67m in a long-term payment package.

Wolves have no concerns over the valuation and United are favourites to secure a formal agreement for Cunha in the near future.

Arsenal have also expressed an interest in landing the former Atletico Madrid man, but they look set to miss out on his signature.

Cunha has reportedly given his word to the Red Devils.
