Arsenal advancing in talks to sign Benjamin Sesko
Arsenal are advancing in talks to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko during the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners are expected to sign a new striker this summer and they have identified Sesko as the number one priority after talks with manager Mikel Arteta.
Initial contact was made with Leipzig earlier this month and Romano claims that the Gunners are now advancing in negotiations for the marksman.
Leipzig want a package of around €80 million for the 22-year-old star, but Arsenal remain optimistic of lowering the fee with the help of add-ons.
Sesko has given the green light to join the Gunners and it appears a matter of time before the Gunners reach an agreement with Leipzig for the striker.
Arsenal have a free run at recruiting the striker at the moment.
Manchester United can't afford to make such a huge outlay on the marksman while Chelsea are focused on landing Hugo Ekitike.
