Man Utd eyeing stunning swap deal for Victor Osimhen

Manchester United are exploring the possibility of signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in a player-plus-cash deal this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Red Devils are eager to bolster their attack with a marquee striker. They were initially keen on landing Liam Delap from Ipswich Town, but he chose to join Chelsea.

The club have now turned their attention towards Osimhen and reports claim that the Mancunian giants are studying an offer for the Nigerian star.

United are not in a position to trigger Osimhen's £63 million release clause, but they are looking to include Joshua Zirkzee as a makeweight to lower the final fee for the former Lille striker.

Napoli were keen on landing Zirkzee during his time at Bologna in the past. The Serie A champions could be tempted to agree to such an agreement to part ways with Osimhen this summer.

Osimhen will still need to lower his salary demands, considering the Red Devils have no plans of paying £350,000 per week.
