Arsenal to confirm second summer signing tomorrow
Arsenal are expected to confirm the signing of midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad tomorrow, according to TNAT on Patreon.
The Spain international has been a long-term target for the Gunners and they have eventually landed his signature for a package of €65 million.
Zubimendi was spotted travelling to the English capital on Sunday and TNAT now claims that the midfielder will be unveiled at some point on Thursday.
The 26-year-old has been one of the best holding midfielders in Spain and he is expected to be a replacement for Thomas Partey in the Gunners squad.
Arsenal tried to negotiate a new long-term deal with Partey, but they were unable to convince the Ghanaian to extend his stay beyond June 30.
Meanwhile, the club are also on the cusp of landing Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard. He has in fact signed his paperwork tonight.
The Danish ace has been signed as a backup for Zubimendi. Alongside Partey, Jorginho has also left the Gunners on a free transfer.
Zubimendi is set to be unveiled as the club's second summer signing. Kepa Arrizabalaga was announced as the first acquisition yesterday.
