Man Utd & Arsenal want to sign 21yo Barcelona midfielder

Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado this summer, according to Caught Offside.

The Red Devils have focused on bolstering their attack in the current transfer window and have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

The club are also discussing the transfer of Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo and he is expected to join the club before the pre-season tour.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have focused primarily on the midfield department and have signed Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.

Both clubs have been linked with Casado, but it appears unlikely that either of them will sign the 21-year-old, who is reportedly valued at £43 million.

United don't have surplus funds after failing to qualify for the Champions League and may not pursue a defensive midfielder in the near future.

Arsenal have already signed two holding midfielders and may not look to spend big on another recruit for the same position this summer.
