Man Utd confirm third summer signing in £71m deal

Manchester United have confirmed their third signing of the summer transfer window in Bryan Mbeumo.

The Red Devils have had a relatively good transfer window. They  recently signed Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon, and have now announced the arrival of Mbeumo from Brentford.

The winger had a sensational 2024/25 campaign with the Bees in the Premier League. He contributed 20 goals and eight assists from 38 appearances for the west London outfit.

There was plenty of interest in his services earlier this summer, but Mbeumo made it clear that he wanted to join the Red Devils. United have eventually secured his signature for £71 million.

United have bolstered their attack with Cunha and Mbeumo and there could be more activity in the coming weeks. A marquee striker could be the next target for the Mancunian heavyweights.

RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko has emerged as an option while Chelsea ace Nicolas Jackson could be another target. The latter could be signed in a swap deal for Alejandro Garnacho.
