Man Utd are very interested in signing Benjamin Sesko

Manchester United are very interested in signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and have made contact with his representatives, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Red Devils are aiming to bolster their attack ahead of next season and they have already added quality in the form of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

The club are now keen on landing a marquee striker and reports claim that Sesko has emerged as the top target over the past week. However, a deal could be difficult to pull off.

Newcastle United have also entered the pursuit of the former Salzburg man and they are prepared to pay whatever it takes to bring the Slovenian to St James' Park this summer.

Alexander Isak is reportedly determined to join Liverpool in the coming weeks and this could pave the way for Sesko's move to the Magpies.

United may struggle to compete with Newcastle financially due to PSR concerns. They are unlikely to afford €80-90 million to land Sesko.
