Chelsea unveil new signing
Chelsea have officially unveiled new signing Estevao Willian, having waited one year for the Brazilian to finally arrive at Stamford Bridge from Palmeiras. The talented youngster appeared for his former club at the Club World Cup - the tournament Chelsea would go on to win - and caught the eye with some outstanding wing displays.
Chelsea have paid a significant transfer fee to land Willian, and the player admitted that he has waited for a long time and is excited to get started. "I am very happy, it feels very rewarding to represent Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world,' Estevao said during his first day at Chelsea. 'I am very happy and I hope to help the team in the best way possible," said Estevao.
The 18-year-old has scored 18 goals in 62 top flight appearances for Palmeiras and has five caps for Brazil's national team so far having impressed for the under-17 side.
It is understood that Chelsea paid around £35 million to sign the highly rated youngster and that Enzo Maresca plans to deploy him as a replacement for Noni Madueke, who had departed for Arsenal earlier in the summer.
