Nottingham Forest chase Mads Bidstrup and Douglas Luiz

Nottingham Forest want to sign one of Douglas Luiz and Mads Bidstrup. Former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz is seeking a return to the Premier League, meanwhile Mads Bidstrup, currently playing in Austria for RB Salzburg, has caught the eye of numerous English sides but Forest are believed to be in first place to snap up the Danish central midfielder.
24-year-old Bidstrup has been a valuable member of RB's squad since arriving in 2023 from Brentford, and last season 30 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga top flight appear to have been rewarded with interest from abroad.
For Douglas Luiz, on the other hand, he has informed his agent that he wants to leave Italy for England right away and will do anything to get his demand before the transfer window closes.
Forest manager Nuno wants at least one central midfielder but would be delighted to sign both, and has a budget of around £55 million. Bidstrup could be available for around £17 million only, leaving the remainder of the budget for set-piece specialist Douglas Luiz.
According to reports, Nuno wants to partner Morgan Gibbs-White in a new look midfield alongside Elliot Anderson and a new signing (or two).
