Benjamin Sesko joins Manchester United

Man Utd have won the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko in a deal worth £74 million, as the 22-year-old favours a move to Manchester despite interest from Newcastle United. The player had scored 39 goals in 87 games for RB.
The transfer deal completes a busy summer for Ruben Amorim's side, having signed Bryan Mbuemo, Matheus Cunha and now Sesko as part of a new look attacking line up at Old Trafford.
Sesko had been linked with a transfer to Arsenal earlier in the summer, but the Gunners were unable to agree a fee with the Bundesliga side and Manchester United swooped for the Slovenian international instead as Arsenal opted to sign Sporting Lisbon forward Viktor Gyokeres.
Sesko has been with Red Bull since 2019, having previously played for RB Salzburg in Austria before making a move to Leipzig, and is seen as one of Europe's best young strikers, with 16 goals in 41 national appearances for his country.
A deal is expected to be completed this afternoon, after Sesko was booked for a medical in Manchester this morning, and already agreed to a contract last night.
