Marseille working on deal to sign Arsenal star
Marseille are working on a permanent deal to sign Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko, according to journalist David Ornstein.
The French outfit are aiming to bolster their defence before the deadline and have identified Zinchenko as the prime target for the left-back position.
Talks are ongoing with the Gunners for the Ukrainian, but a transfer could ultimately depend on whether Zinchenko is ready to accept a pay cut.
The left-back is presently on a hefty salary of £150,000 per week, and may have to accept a significant reduction to make the switch to France.
Alongside Zinchenko, the likes of Jakub Kiwior, Reiss Nelson and Fabio Vieira are also expected to depart before the transfer window closes.
Kiwior looks set to leave for Porto once the Gunners land Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen, while Crystal Palace are negotiating for Nelson.
Stuttgart are keen on landing Vieira and could make a renewed proposal after the £69 million sale of Nick Woltemade to Newcastle United.
