Liverpool plotting move for Bayern Munich star

Liverpool are reportedly keen on landing Bayern Munich star Dayot Upamecano on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

The Frenchman has been a key player for the Bavarian giants over the years, but he could be on the move when his contract expires next summer.

He has already been linked with a move to Manchester United but reports claim that the Reds could battle it out with them for his services.

Liverpool are unclear over the future of Ibrahima Konate whose deal expires next summer. He has been tipped to move to Real Madrid on a free transfer.

The Reds wanted to sign Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi before the deadline on September 1, but the Eagles blocked the deal as no successor was found.

Guehi has been tipped to join the Merseyside giants when his contract expires in June next year, but other clubs are also monitoring him.

If Guehi were to move elsewhere, the Reds could turn attention to landing Upamecano. Bayern are still hopeful of convincing him to stay.
