Arne Slot provides injury update on Ibrahima Konate

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has provided an injury update on Ibrahima Konate following the 2-1 Premier League defeat to Chelsea on the road.

The Reds went into the game on the back of two losses in all competitions. They were also second best against the Blues and paid the price at the end.

Estevao William came off the bench to score a late winner in stoppage time. Speaking after the game, Slot was asked about Konate's condition after he was substituted in the 56th minute.

He said: "Not 100 percent sure if he's injured, he felt his quad and if a player feels his quad when he's running then alarm bells go on for me."

Liverpool have had a big slump in form over the past few weeks. They have now suffered three straight defeats in all competitions.

The international break has definitely come at the right time for them. The Reds will host Manchester United after the international break.
