Arsenal & Chelsea want to sign Ousmane Diomande?

Arsenal and Chelsea have been credited with an interest in signing Sporting Lisbon centre-back Ousmane Diomande at the end of the campaign, according to Record.
The Gunners bolstered their central defence last summer with the signings of Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera. The duo have already made a meaningful impression.
On the other hand, the Blues resisted the prospect of landing a new centre-back despite Levi Colwill suffering a serious knee injury on his return to pre-season last summer.
Record now cite that both clubs are keen on landing the signature of Diomande and they may have to wait until the summer transfer window to secure an agreement.
Sporting consider Diomande as an indispensable figure in the squad, but they may be forced to sanction his sale next summer with his contract expiring in June 2027.
He has a release clause worth 80 million euros in his contract with the Portuguese champions, but they are likely to accept a lesser price for his transfer.
