John Terry says Chelsea owners snubbed him for interim role

Chelsea legend John Terry has said that the Blues' owners denied him the opportunity to manage the club on an interim basis after the departure of Enzo Maresca earlier this season.
The Blues appointed Calum McFarlane as a caretaker shortly after Maresca's exit. He was in the position for a few games before Liam Rosenior took charge as the new head coach.
Terry has now revealed that he wanted to contribute alongside McFarlane, but the club's owners were clearly against the idea of involving him in any capacity with the first-team.
He told The Sun: "Clearly the ownership or whoever made those decisions, the sporting directors, have gone ‘no’ not to include me for whatever reason, I don’t know why."
Under Rosenior, Chelsea have had a rough start. They are currently three points behind Manchester United in the race for the fourth position in the Premier League standings.
They face a tricky challenge against Arsenal on the road this weekend.
