Chelsea quoted price to sign Igor Thiago

Chelsea are one of four Premier League clubs looking to sign Brentford striker Igor Thiago during the summer transfer window.

The Blues have been overly dependent on Joao Pedro to lead the line this campaign. He has fared well with 19 goals in all competitions.

Liam Delap and Marc Guiu are the backup options at the moment, but neither of them has been consistent enough when offered the chance.

It is now claimed that the Blues are exploring a deal for Thiago, who has netted a stunning 22 goals in the league for the Bees this term.

Thiago has been a key catalyst behind the Bees moving to sixth in the table and the west London outfit could yet qualify for the Champions League.

If Aston Villa were to finish fifth and win the Europa League, Brentford could qualify for the Champions League with a sixth-place league finish.

Regardless, Thiago has been widely touted to head for the exit door. Brentford are set to demand at least £80m for his transfer.
