Man City set to beat Man Utd to England star

Manchester City are set to beat Manchester United to the signing of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer, according to BBC Sport.
The Cityzens are planning to reinforce their midfield this summer after confirming the departure of Bernardo Silva. Anderson has been the prime target for a while, and he is leaning towards joining them.
United have also expressed an interest in the former Newcastle United graduate, but they are reluctant to overpay or enter into a protracted transfer saga for the 23-year-old.
The Cityzens have not made a formal bid for the highly-rated midfielder, but he has a clear preference to join them. It could take a record fee for a British player to prise him away.
Declan Rice currently holds the record at £105m, and any transfer for Anderson could exceed that figure. United have plans to sign multiple players and won't pay over the odds for him.
United are presently on the cusp of landing Ederson.
