Chelsea planning £40m bid to sign West Ham star

Chelsea are planning to spend £40 million to sign West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen during the summer transfer window.
The Hammers suffered relegation from the Premier League after a 14-year gap and this is expected to pave the way for high-profile exits.
Bowen has been the Hammers' captain in recent seasons, but he is widely expected to pursue a new challenge away from the club too.
He would prefer a return to the English top-flight and it appears Chelsea could make an approach to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Bowen is seen as someone who can play upfront or on the right wing, but the big question is whether the Englishman would accept the move.
He is likely to play second fiddle to Joao Pedro upfront, while he may need to compete with Estevao and Pedro Neto on the right side of attack.
It will take at least £40 million to prise him away from the Hammers.
