Arsenal & Chelsea in the mix to sign Marcus Rashford

Arsenal and Chelsea remain in contention to sign Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford ahead of the summer transfer window.

The England international spent the previous campaign on loan with Barcelona, where he registered 14 goals and 14 assists.

The Blaugrana have the option to sign him permanently for 26 million pounds, but reports claim that they won't trigger the clause.

The club instead want to sign him for a mere 13 million pounds, given his huge wages. United are unlikely to entertain such a proposal.

Amidst this, it is claimed that Arsenal and Chelsea are in the mix for the United graduate, and the player's agents believe a deal could be done.

United are poised to demand a much higher transfer fee for the attacker. It could take at least 35 million pounds to prise him away from them.

The big stumbling block could be his wages as none of those clubs would be willing to match Rashford's current weekly salary of 325,000 pounds.
