Arsenal make transfer decision on Mateus Fernandes

Arsenal have already made their transfer decision on West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes ahead of the summer transfer window.

After discussing with his entourage, they have set a hefty price tag of £85m, which has put off the Gunners from making a formal approach.

Mikel Arteta's side believe they could secure a more experienced solution for less and are expected to explore alternatives in the near future.

Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali could be one of those. The Italian could be prised away from the Magpies for around £65 million upfront.
