Hammers want Derby's Barnes

West Ham have again been linked with Derby midfielder Giles Barnes. The player was the subject of intense speculation over the summer, and West Ham reportedly made an offer of £7.5m.

The People says Hammers chairman Eggert Magnusson is prepared to go as high as £7.5 million for Barnes, whose Dad, Bobby, is a former Upton Park hero.
