Farfan to join Schalke

Peru international striker Jefferson Farfan is believed to be on the verge of completing a move from Holland to German giants Schalke 04 in a £6 million transfer.

The Peruvian international is one of the most sought after players in Europe at the moment after yet another impressive campaign in the Eredivisie.

Celtic, Arsenal, Newcastle and Sunderland were among some of the clubs linked with the talented forward, but it seems that Bundesliga side Schalke 04 have won the battle to land the international forward at a fee that looks to be a bargain.
