Man Utd & Liverpool want to sign 25yo French midfielder

Manchester United and Liverpool could compete for the signature of Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram this month, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Frenchman has been with the Bianconeri for the last two campaigns and has been a regular starter. However, his future is uncertain with the Turin giants required to balance their books before the end of June.

Juventus suffered a major setback after failing to qualify for the Champions League, which could force them to part ways with Thuram.

Corriere dello Sport claim that United and Liverpool are keen on landing the 25-year-old, who could be available for £35 million to £39 million.

Thuram has also been linked with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli, but he is expected to prioritise a move to the Premier League instead.

Nottingham Forest are also keen on landing the former Nice man and could emerge as a destination if Elliot Anderson were to depart.

Manchester City are currently in negotiations with Forest for Anderson, but they are yet to meet the reported £125 million price tag.
