Man Utd eyeing deal for 25yo midfielder after Tielemans

Manchester United are expected to focus on signing Roma midfielder Manu Kone after securing the signature of Youri Tielemans.

The Red Devils recently signed midfielder Andrey Santos from Chelsea and have followed it up with the purchase of Tielemans from Aston Villa.

The club are eyeing another midfield addition and the focus could be on a more defensive-minded player for the number six role.

Kone, 25, is one of the top names on their radar, but a deal won't be easy to pursue with Liverpool and Aston Villa keeping tabs as well.

Villa have just lost the services of Youri Tielemans to United, while they are also without Amadou Onana with a long-term injury.

They have recently landed Johan Manzambi but would prefer a more defensive-minded player and have made contact for Kone.

Roma are aware of the increasing interest in Kone, who has been sublime for France at the World Cup. He will cost at least £51 million.
