Man Utd set their sights on landing new striker

Manchester United have set their sights on landing a new striker during the ongoing transfer window, according to The Athletic.

The Red Devils have largely focused on bolstering their midfield department. They have signed Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, as well as experienced goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

The spending spree is expected to continue in the coming weeks and The Athletic claim that a new striker is among the priorities for the hierarchy.

Benjamin Sesko sustained a shin injury towards the end of last season, and the Slovenian has yet to fully recover from the setback, as per United.

Joshua Zirkzee led the line for the Red Devils against Wrexham in the opening half, but his future could be uncertain beyond the summer.

He is attracting plenty of interest from Italian clubs and his departure could coincide with the club purchasing another striker to support Sesko.

United have no standout targets at the present point in time.
