Chelsea make Lewis-Skelly transfer decision

Chelsea have no interest in pursuing a deal for Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer.

Lewis-Skelly had a good end to the previous campaign. He was a regular starter in midfield for the Gunners.

Despite this, there is fresh speculation over his future after the Gunners' big-money signing of Bruno Guimaraes.

Guimaraes is widely expected to partner Declan Rice in the heart of the midfield, which will demote Lewis-Skelly.

The 19-year-old has played the majority of his young career as a left-back, but he faces fierce competition in the role too.

Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori are ahead of him in the pecking order, which is a further worry for the teenager.

In the last 24 hours, he has been offered to the Blues, but the west London outfit have no plans to pursue a deal for him.

They have just signed a new left-back in Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano, and have their midfield well covered too.

Enzo Fernandez has been linked with an exit recently. If he departs, the club are more likely to pursue a marquee successor.
