Chelsea open discussions to sign midfielder Manu Kone

Chelsea have opened discussions with Roma over the potential transfer of midfielder Manu Kone, according to Tuttosport.
The Blues are currently negotiating with Manchester City for the sale of Enzo Fernandez. The World Cup winner is highly likely to leave the West London outfit in the coming hours.
Chelsea want a high-profile replacement for the Argentine, and reports claim that they have opened negotiations with the Giallorossi over the potential transfer of French star Kone.
Kone had a brilliant 2025/26 season with Roma in Serie A and helped them qualify for the Champions League after a seven-year wait. He later starred for France at the World Cup.
The 25-year-old was linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this summer which did not materialise, but Chelsea seem determined to bring him to England before the deadline.
Roma are unlikely to let him go on the cheap. The club are in a better financial situation and may not sanction his sale for less than £60 million.
