Everton made huge loan offer for Joshua Zirkzee

Everton reportedly made a huge loan proposal for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee on transfer deadline day.
The Merseyside outfit sold Iliman Ndiaye to Manchester City earlier on Tuesday and were keen on landing Folarin Balogun from Monaco as a replacement.
The USA striker underwent a medical with the Merseyside outfit, but a deal did not go through as the Toffees were reluctant to pay the required agent commission.
Balogun eventually decided to return to the Principality club. Everton made a desperate move to land Zirkzee on loan for £10m, but that was rejected by United too.
United consider Zirkzee as a possible back-up for the striker's position and did not want to lose the Dutchman's services with barely any time to land a replacement.
Zirkzee was open to joining the Toffees for regular playing time and may have to wait until January to move on. Everton are now left with only Thierno Barry as a specialist striker after Beto's exit.
