Michael Carrick reacts after Man Utd loss vs Man City

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has reacted to the club's 1-0 Premier League loss to Manchester City at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have had a tough start to the new season, and they suffered their second league defeat against the Cityzens earlier today.

United were handed a huge advantage with Phil Foden's early sending-off, and they were unable to capitalise and secure a much-needed win.

Erling Haaland scored for the Cityzens in controversial fashion in the second half, and it eventually proved the difference between the clubs.

Speaking after the game, Carrick said that United were the better team before the goal and they will get back to winning games soon.

He said: "Before that goal, we were the better team. We should’ve finished the game better. We're a good team. We'll get back to winning games."

United are languishing 13th in the league after the latest result. They are already eight points behind Arsenal for the top spot in the table.
