Arsenal have made move for Jacobo Ramon

Arsenal have already made an initial move for Como defender Jacobo Ramon, according to Tuttomercatoweb in Italy.

The Gunners are firm admirers of the Spaniard and were linked with his services this summer before opting to land Aston Villa centre-back Ezri Konsa.

Arsenal have not cooled their interest and reports claim that the hierarchy are eager to bring the 21-year-old in to work under manager Mikel Arteta pretty soon.

This is easier said than done, considering Ramon has no desire to join an elite European outfit without the assurance of regular playing time in the league.

Real Madrid have buy-back and sell-on clauses on the player's contract, and they are said to be considering his return to the club at the end of the campaign.

Still, Los Blancos could sell him off for a big profit. Arsenal have been linked but may struggle to persuade him without the assurance of a starting position.

William Saliba is an assured starter in the right centre-back role at Arsenal when fit, while the club have Konsa and Cristhian Mosquera for competition.

There is a big possibility that Como may seek to cancel out the buy-out and sell-on clauses by paying a huge fee to Madrid next summer, just as they did for Nico Paz.
