Arsenal & Chelsea keen on Bayer Leverkusen star

Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly hold an interest in signing Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah next year.

The Gunners explored the possibility of signing the Englishman last summer, but Leverkusen made it clear he was not for sale.

This has not necessarily ended their pursuit, and the north London giants could make a renewed approach at the end of the campaign.

Quansah is primarily a central defender, but it appears manager Mikel Arteta sees him as an option on the right side of the backline.

Chelsea are also keen admirers of the former Liverpool man, but the Reds still have an advantage in the pursuit of their academy graduate.

There is a buy clause that could be triggered in July next year and they could do so if Virgil van Dijk were to move on from the club.

Leverkusen are likely to demand at least £56m to part ways with Quansah, who is said to be open to returning to the Premier League.
