Man Utd stance on signing Alex Scott revealed

Manchester United have a clear stance on midfielder Alex Scott, who could leave Bournemouth during the winter transfer window, according to BBC Sport.

The England international was the subject of interest from multiple Premier League clubs over the summer, but the Cherries were adamant that he was not for sale.

United were among his suitors, but they ended up spending big to land Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, as well as Carlos Baleba. The latter was injured before his arrival.

Bournemouth have now opened the door for Scott's exit in January, with the midfielder having no plans to extend his contract beyond the summer of 2028.

This has caught the eye of Chelsea and Liverpool, and the pair could enter a bidding battle for the Englishman when the transfer window reopens this winter.

United previously enquired over his availability multiple times, but they have now decided to move on from the Bristol City graduate after the summer spending.
