van der Vaart summer target

Rafael van der Vaart is the target of several Premiership clubs this summer; and it is understood by eyefootball.com that Chelsea are set to make a £16 million offer for the Dutch international after the Euro 2008 tournament.

Hamburg coach Martin Jol has said: “We have to do all we can to keep hold of him. He is one of the best five play-makers in Europe and he dictates the rhythm of Hamburg.”

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Newcastle are all the clubs interested in the talented forward; and the player is expected to be on his way out of the Bundesliga this year.
