Fiorentina will keep Mutu
Fiorentina are confident that Romania international Adrian Mutu will be at the club next year, despite rumours otherwise. Liverpool have been linked with a move for the former Chelsea striker.
"We'll meet with Mutu briefly in the next few days," said Viola president Andrea Della Valle. "But our relationship with Adrian has been and remains at its best.
"For that reason there won't be any problems with a possible adjustment of his contract.
"I have heard talk that the club is putting down a hard line, but that is not true.
"On the contrary we have always tried to satisfy him in the past because Mutu is one of our flag bearers.
"Even now we will find a compromise - I am confident and optimistic."
