Shorey exit uncertainty

Reading defender Nicky Shorey could still be staying at the club; despite the interest of West Ham and Tottenham. It is understood that the England international full back has been a primary target for several sides this summer after the Royals' relegation to the Championship.

Reading's sporting director Nicky Hammond is still unsure if Shorey will leave the club.

"People are working on the assumption that Nicky Shorey will move on during the summer," said Hammond. "Bit it simply hasn't gone that far.

"Nobody has made us an offer for the player and even if they do it does not necessarily mean he will go."
