Portsmouth in for SWP

After Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp missed out on the signature of Jonas Gutierrez, the Real Mallorca man who decided to join Newcastle; it seems that the FA Cup winning coach has turned his attentions to Chelsea man Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Valued by the Blues at around £15 million, Shaun Wright Phillips has always been frustrated with his lack of first-team opportunities at Chelsea.

It is understood that Luiz Felipe Scolari will also be in the market for two midfielders this summer, including one winger, and that could spell the end for the England international.
