Pereira delighted to be at Racing

Jonathan Pereira has expressed tremendous delight and enthusiasm at completing his loan deal from Villarreal to Racing Santander on Friday.

The 21-year old was the best player in the midfield at Racing Ferrol where he played last season on loan from Villarreal and has been sent out on loan again by the Yellow Submarine, this time to fellow first division side Racing Santander.

This is what Pereira had to say about the loan deal:

"For me this is a very important step in my career. It is a dream to have the chance to play in la Primera and even more so in a club like Racing, who will be competing in Europe."

"Racing had a spectacular season last year and I followed them just like every fan of good football."

"Wherever the coach puts me is where I want to play because it will mean I am in the team. I have not yet had the chance to talk to him though.

"I expect to learn a lot because it will be my first season in the top flight. I come to contribute and to give everything I ahve because they have put their faith in me."
