McFadden to Wigan?
McFadden to Wigan?
There have been reports early on Tuesday morning that Wigan Athletic have staged a 6 million bid for Birmingham City's talented forward James McFadden. Alex McLeish apparently is keen to keep McFadden at the club; but a £6 million offer will be difficult to refuse.
It is understood that Wigan boss Steve Bruce is on the look out for a new striker; and McFadden is very high on that list.
It was believed that Bruce could try and make an offer for Arsenal man Nicklas Bendtner or Reading striker Kevin Doyle; but will now raid his former club for McFadden.
It is also understood that Birmingham City chairman David Sullivan is reluctant to let McFadden leave as the valuation of the player is very similar to what the club paid last year to sign him from Everton.
