Tottenham to sign Luis Garcia?

According to reports emanating from Spain, Tottenham have agreed terms with Espanyol to sign the talented Spanish international striker Luis Garcia for a fee believed to be in the region of £7.5 million.

It is understood that representatives of Tottenham are currently in Spain thrashing out personal terms with the midfielder, and that a deal could be in place before the end of next week.

The player will fly out to London for a medical on Tuesday, and then agree his move on Wednesday.

Benfica had earlier been linked with a move for the player; but have seemingly missed out at the last minute.
