Johnson nears Fulham move

Fulham look set to complete the signing of England international striker Andy Johnson from Everton for an undisclosed fee. It is understood that Roy Hodgson is paying around £8.5m of the club's money.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Everton can confirm that it has agreed an eight-figure sum with Fulham for the services of Andrew Johnson.

"This is subject to the player agreeing personal terms and negotiating a medical."
