Barca looking for Silva lining

Spanish and European giants FC Barcelona are looking to launch a massive bid for David Silva of Valencia CF.

According to the Spanish sports daily El Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugranas are eager to land the player at the Camp Nou cathedral as soon as possible.

Barca originally wanted a striker but with Samuel Eto'o set to linger on at Camp Nou, Josep Guardiola are looking to add a more creative and versatile player to his mix.

Valencia's David Silva is just 22 years of age and is rated as one of the best in the Spanish first division. He is creative player who can play as a left winger, a striker or as a midfielder just behind the strikers.
