Adams happy despite defeat
Tony Adams has admitted he was disappointed that his Portsmouth side lost on Wednesday night against Liverpool, but confessed there were plenty of positives to take out of the game.
"Itâs hard to be pleased when you have lost 1-0, but for a first game in charge it has been OK," the former Arsenal great said in The Sun. "If they show that level of commitment I will be very happy."
A late Steven Gerrard penalty was enough to see off Pompey, despite their valiant efforts.
