Witsel off to Man Utd?

According to reports, Manchester United are interested in making Standard Liege midfielder Axel Witsel as Owen Hargreaves replacement for the season.

It is understood that Man Utd will be willing to pay £7 million for the player, and have had scouts monitoring him for some time.

It is understood United's head scout was in attendance watching Liege's 1-0 defeat of Sevilla.

Witsel is a powerful young player tipped to have a great future ahead of him.
