Juventus went level on points with Inter Milan on top of Serie A with a convincing rout of Genoa last night. Juventus have now won five straight games in Serie A.

Defender Zdenek Grygera put Juve ahead six minutes in, then provided the cross that Amauri redirected in for the host’s second goal in the 26th. Vincenzo Iaquinta made it 3-0 in the 85th after taking a no-look pass from Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero.

Diego Milito pulled one back for Genoa from a penalty kick in the 89th for his league-leading 10th goal of the season, and Genoa defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos restored the three-goal lead with an own goal in added time.

“If Juve plays like this we can create problems for any team,” Amauri said. “I hope Palermo and my former teammates give us a nice gift Saturday.”
