Benitez to axe Degen and Dossena

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is reportedly ready to axe the unimpressive summer signings Phillipp Degen and Andrea Dossena and will look to buy alternative players.

It is understood that the Italian big money signing could be set for a return to his homeland to join Roma, whilst Degen could join French champions Lyon in January.

Benitez knows that he needs to bring in some top quality players if he wants to continue Liverpool's Premiership challenge.
