Cech praises battling Chelsea
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has praised his side for the way they recovered to defeat Stoke City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge at the weekend. Frank Lampard's late goal was enough to ensure the 3 points came to London..
It looked like Chelsea had thrown away what looked to be an easy three points, as Stoke City took an early lead through Rory Delap.
However, substitute Juliano Belletti and then later captain Lampard secured the 2-1 victory for the Blues.
"I would like to point out our spirit of never giving up in the game and fighting until the very end," Cech said.
"We were having plenty of chances throughout the match but managed to break the scoring record only as late as the final minutes."
