Middlesbrough eye Marlon King

Middlesbrough are reportedly close to sealing a move for Marlon King, the striker that is currently on loan at Hull City until the end of the season. It is understood that Boro boss Gareth Southgate is to make an offer for the player.

There has been talk that Boro could ask for a swap deal involving Mido for King, a player that apparently has no future at Hull City.

The player's contract is held by Wigan, and the Latics are keen to bring Mido to the club if they have the opportunity, where they hope to link the Egyptian up with Amr Zaki.
