Stoke eye Alan Smith

Stoke City are ready to make a bid for Newcastle striker Alan Smith this summer. Smith has found his opportunities very limited at St. James' Park, but is keen to stay in the Premiership.

The former Leeds man could be allowed to leave Newcastle for as little as £750,000, as the Toon look to generate quick cash as they prepare for life in the Championship.

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is keen to add more firepower for his squad and sees Alan as the perfect option.
