Clint Dempsey to Sunderland?

Fulham forward Clint Dempsey is apparently a target for new Sunderland boss Steve Bruce. If the rumours are to be believed, Sunderland coach Steve Bruce has instructed Niall Quinn to make the forward the club's next target this summer.

Dempsey has been one of the reasons why Fulham remained in the Premiership last year, with his goals firing the Cottagers towards the right end of the table.

Even more impressive form for his national side has seen Dempsey's stock rise further, and now Sunderland are to make a £4 million approach for the USA international.
